Our aim at Silver Lining Chalets is to ensure that you are very well looked after and have a fantastic holiday, and we are confident we can achieve this because we live close by and are therefore always available to immediately resolve any issues that may arise.
We can advise on ski passes, ski or snowboard lessons and childcare.
Les Menuires is our closest main ski resort, and that offers plenty of terrain to get you started (easy greens, wide blues and reds, and difficult, black mogul fields). It also includes the more challenging area of La Masse, which has some great reds and blacks starting out from above 2800m (and also some easier blues lower down).
If the weather is sunny, you should head for Val Thorens (which offers amazing skiing from 1800m to 3230m) where the sun will top up your tan, and the snow is almost guaranteed to be in fantastic condition (being surrounded by no less than six glaciers). You could also do a (speedy) half-day trip to Orelle, or a more relaxed full-day trip. Once there, you'll find the highest point reachable by lift in the Three Valleys (top of the Bouchet chairlift at 3230m) and also some great off-piste.
Going slightly further afield, Meribel and Courchevel are great day trips. They can be reached in under 30 and 45 minutes respectively, giving you ample time to explore.
Chalet Bruyères is located in the Bruyères quarter of Les Menuires. Les Menuires gives easy access to the rest of the Three Valleys ski area with over 600km of pistes to suit all abilities. Les Menuires is also just 1 gondola away from Val Thorens – the highest ski resort in Europe, guaranteeing you good snow from before Xmas to after Easter. From chalet Bruyères, the Bruyères gondola is just 100 metres away, so it is truly ski-in, ski-out. The ESF ski school is also next to the Bruyères gondola. Chalet Bruyères is the only such chalet in the Bruyères quarter. There are also lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the chalet.
There is also an outdoor hot-tub, boot warmers, large screen TV with UK Freesat TV and 3D glasses, pool table, mini-bar, Wii console and broadband Wi-fi internet. The hot-tub is on the large, south-facing balcony and boasts an unparalleled view of La Masse.
We have one travel cot, one baby car seat and one high chair available for guest use. The chalet is non-smoking. Ashtrays are provided on the balconies. We also request that you remove your outdoor shoes at the entrance of the chalet.
