Located in the sunniest part of town, close to Flegere cablecar. Easy access to Argentiere (Grands Montets is fantastic and has jump park to right of middle station, good lunch spot too).
Ski School at Planards for basic beginners.
Savoy: By the centre of town, ski passes from tourist office and the ski school office is by the main church. Beginner slopes, children’s altitude classes (9.15-3.15) – best class but supply with packed lunch and drink.
La Tour: Good for families, decent restaurant, only motorway skiing in the area. Highly recommended is to ski over towards Vallorcine.
Les Houches: Good skiing – leads over to St. Gervais with mountain tram. La Vieux Luge is excellent for lunch in the woods, rabbit stew a speciality!
Aiguille du Vallee Blanche has amazing views but is for the braver skier. Guide needed.
Large decked area to front of Chalet, ideal for views of Massif from Les Drus, Aiguille de Midi, Mont Blanc summit. BBQ: Stone built to the side of the house with flagged area.
Fire: Logs under the chimney in garage, kindling also – although if it is used there is plenty in the supermarket. Firewood is expensive, whilst the fire works best with two logs.
No skis or boots in the house, No smoking, and No indoor fireworks.
