Comfortable apartment of the 2nd and top floor of an old (1829) chalet.
This is not a square-box apartment in Morzine. It is perfect for family or group ski holiday, especially if there are non-skiers that just want to relax in the rocking chair in front of the fire whilst others ski.
Great for summer vacations enjoying the sunshine down on the terrace or trying to multitude of different summer activities. Hiking, hunting for alpine flowers and numerous festivals are scattered throughout the inter-seasons for a cheaper getaway.


The Route De L'Abbaye is a quiet road with a great mixture of local French residents and foreign/second-home-owned Jean D'Aulps has the feel of a 'real' village, as opposed to a purpose built resort - the buzz of a modern resort is just 5 minute drive up the road at La Grande Terche or in Morzine. There is a very good Petit Carrefour mini-supermarket, pattisserie and boulangerie in the village (15 minutes walk), as well as restaurants, cafe/ English bar and other shops. There is a big Carrefour supermarket (supplying all the local area) half-way to Morzine (5 minutes by car).


Kitchen: The Kitchen has a range oven, 2 fridges, freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. As a home from home it has all the cooking, crockery, glassware and cutlery you will need.

There is a hatch from the kitchen opens onto a bar by the dining table.

Dining: The Dining room area is open to the sitting room lounge but feels separate enough with its wooden floors and door out onto the balcony.
The table sits 6 and with the extension 8 quite happily.

Sitting: Beyond the dining table is the Lounge which has a beautiful slate fire-place, cozy sofas tv and dvd player. The views look up to the meadows on L'Abbaye side of the mountain. There are also more double doors at this end, out onto the balcony, books, games, dressing up box, and dvds.

The Meadow bedroom: Opening from the lounge is a double bedroom with en suite walk-in shower. It too looks up on to the local hillside.

The River bedroom: Upstairs there is the second bedroom (double of twin) with a big window and sounds of the river Dranse. The view looks to the opposite hillside and slopes of Le Grande Terche ski resort. This room also has en-suite shower facilities.

Narnia: The third bedroom is the family room with double of twin beds below a built-in mezzanine with a further single bed. There is also a single day bed for children to the age of about 2.

The family bathroom is also at the top of the stairs complete with shower over a bath, loo and sink.

There is a ski locker by the drive way and plenty of space for boots and jackets in the entrance hall as well as off road parking (shared with the downstairs neighbour) above the private garden with tables and chairs and bbq.

House Rules

Parking is available for 1 car. Access must be kept open at all times to allow neighbours vehicle access to their parking. There are plenty of of parking bays 150m beyond the property.
