Property Description

The chalet is situated in the traditional Swiss village Veysonnaz in Valais Switzerland. With room for 12 guests and accommodation arranged over two floors, Le Preyet is suitable for all mountain lovers: from families to couples to go-hard-ski-fanatics.

Veysonnaz is linked to the 4 Valleys by an 8-person high speed gondola and offers skiing for all abilities: from beginners to advanced. The 4 Valleys also include Verbier, Nendaz and Tzoumaz. After a hard day’s skiing, return to the luxury of Le Preyet and put your feet up in front of the wood burning fire. Marvel at the view of the Rhone Valley and its snow-capped peaks from the large wrap around balcony, or cook up a warming feast in the fully equipped kitchen. Underfloor heating and power showers ensure your apres-ski evenings get off to a good start.

In summer, hiking and walking is in abundance in the region. Admire the views and mountain flowers, with easy access to the fabulous "Bisse" walks direct from Le Preyet. Mountain Biking is also popular. Let your wine taste buds come alive at some of Switzerland's best kept secret vineyards, or visit the Lukerbaad natural springs just a short drive away. Prefer golf? No problem. There are many championship golf courses in the area, including the home of the Omega Swiss Open in Crans Montana.

A boucherie, croissanterie & supermarche are all within walking distance of the chalet and the handful of restaurants serving up traditional Swiss cuisine are ideal for those nights when you just can’t face the kitchen. Try a cheese fondue in La Taniere or nip into Bar Louca for a warming cup of vin chaud.

Location

The most accessible airport is Geneva, which is a two-hour drive from the village. Access to a car is not necessary however as a high speed rail way runs direct from Geneva airport to the town of Sion, situation in the valley directly below Veysonnaz village. Taxis and buses are easily available from Sion train station. In winter, Sion airport also offers some flights to and from EU destinations.
The village is located just a forty minute drive from Montreux, a small town perched on the edge of Lake Geneva and home to the world famous Montreux Jazz festival. Evian is also just an hour away.

Facilities

The chalet has five bedrooms over two floors and can accommodate up to 12 guests. There are two double bedrooms, two twin rooms and a fifth room with two sets of bunk beds. The chalet has three bathrooms with power showers and heated towel rails, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and all modern conveniences, an open plan dining area with dining table that extends to seat 12 and a wood burning fireplace. The balcony wraps around three sides of the property, providing stunning views of the snow-capped mountains and valley below. The living space has ample comfy seats, including a corner sofa and squashy armchair. There is a mezzanine above the living space with a television. High speed wifi is available throughout the property. Also available for use is a laundry room with washing machine, garage with table tennis table, a further parking space and child's cot.

City tax of 2.50 CHF per adult per night and 1.50 CHF per child per night to be paid to our property manager on departure.
