Kappl is a picturesque village in the Tyrol region of Austria, located on a sunny shelf above the floor of the Paznaun valley. The resort is just 15 minutes down the valley from Ischgl, and has a tranquil charm that is in sharp contrast with its noisy neighbour. It is part of the Silvretta ski area, which includes Ischgl, and the ski pass covers both resorts plus others. The high altitude of the resort’s ski area (peaking at 2700m) means your ski holiday in Kappl comes with a snow-sure guarantee! A day trip is easily made by car to St Anton, and the resort is just 1 hour in the car from Innsbruck airport. Read more...

Although Kappl is a great base for exploring the wider Silvretta ski region (and more experienced skiers will certainly want to stretch themselves by exploring further afield) the area immediately surrounding Kappl has plenty going for it. Skiing in the Kapply-Sunny Mountain area gives you 40km to go at, served by a modern lift system. Intermediates are particularly well provided for, with some tough reds including the Lattenabfahrt run which is 8km and drops 1000m. The great Kappl Activ ski school makes it pleasant to learn to ski in Kappl, and there are beginner-friendly ‘magic carpet’ lifts serving the nursery slopes. Experienced skiers look to the underrated off-piste – you’re likely to make first tracks through virgin powder! – while snowboarders in Kappl have a fun park and racecourse to get stuck into. Note that the area is always being improved, and three routes have been added for the 2013/14 season.

Choose the perfect accommodation for your ski holiday, whether you're skiing individually or with a group, are on a budget or no expense spared!

A luxury holiday in Kappl really is a great way to leave the rest of the world behind.
