Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday Packlist!

We all know what it’s like when you are heading off on your winter holiday.  So many things to remember when you are going skiing or snowboarding.  It’s not just a simple case of your swimmers and sunscreen!

Our friends at Skiology offer an awesome check list to their guests so they can make sure they have it all covered before they leave!  An awesome idea and here it is in full!

Ski/Board Items

Al available in resort but as a rule they can be found a little cheaper outside of the resort where there are more options to shop around:

  • Hat
  • Goggles/Sunglasses
  • Scarf/Neck warmer
  • Thermal Layers
  • Fleece/Mid layer
  • Jacket
  • Gloves/Mittens
  • Salopettes
  • Ski Socks
  • Sunscreen/Lip Balm
  • Small back pack (useful for carrying the kids things/water/layers)

If you have your own ski and snowboard equipment then don’t forget it!

  • Skis
  • Ski Boots
  • Snowboard & Bindings
  • Snowboard Boots
  • Helmet
  • Wrist Guards
  • Protective gear

Don’t forget to book on your ski or snowboard bag with your airline before you travel!

If you are coming in January when it’s generally a little bit colder then you might want to bring along the following though you can buy them in resort:

  • Inner gloves
  • Silk Sock Liners

Non Ski Items!

Those all essential cosy bits and bobs and things for a night out!

  • Slippers for inside the chalet
  • Shoes
  • Socks
  • Trousers/Jeans
  • Pyjamas
  • T Shirts
  • Jumper
  • Clothes for dinner in town on staff night out
  • Wash bag – Shampoo, shower gel or soap, medicine, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush, hair straightners!
  • Medicine
  • Ear Plugs – great for the plane and room sharing!
  • Plug adaptors
  • Phone (is it set to roam?) chargers/Kindle or Ipad charger
  • Plane tickets/Boarding pass/PASSPORTS!
  • Insurance Documents (don’t forget this!!)
  • Euros!

  • Car documents
  • Snow tyres/chains
  • Break Down cover information
  • Blankets
  • Water and snacks
  • Tips on how to drive in the snow!

  • Favourite cuddly toy

If you don’t:

  • Your favourite hangover cure…

If you are bringing a pet it’s best to check their pet passport is all up to date and don’t forget you have to book them onto the ferry or euro tunnel!  It’s really easy  and generally hassle free but when you are on the continent you need to make sure you take them to a vet to have them wormed before coming back to the UK!  You don’t want Fido being left behind!
