Chalet Datcha has recently been refurbished. Downstairs is bright and triple aspect, upstairs is cosy with pine clad bedrooms. Bathrooms and kitchen were modernised in 2008.
The chalet is in the centre of the village and is ideal for access to skiing and local facilities. The bakery is 30 metres away, the supermarket 100 metres and most importantly for winter guests, the Trabanta chairlift is only 100 metres from the chalet. There is a footpath behind the chalet allowing pedestrians to reach the facilities at 1850m in about 5 minutes, including ski school, the Joc teleski and La Luge, the village's fantastic pizza restaurant.

LOCATION

Les Collons is a skiers and boarders dream having great snow from November to April (and occasionally in August!).
Located in the 4 Valleys region it benefits from one of the largest ski regions in Europe with over 400 kms of pistes and over 100 ski-lifts.
The ski area above Les Collons is fabulous with wide open and sunny slopes, perfect for all, and includes one of the most famous ski slopes in the Alps, the fabulous World Cup ladies downhill run, Piste de L'Ours. The area boasts some of the best off piste you can ski anywhere. There is no need to ski to Verbier but you can get there on skis in less than an hour. The nearest airport for scheduled flights is Geneva.
The distance to Chalet Datcha from Geneva is approximately 110 miles. Travel time from Geneva to Les Collons is under 2 hours. There is a train from Geneva airport to Sion that takes 2 hours. The train runs approximately every 20 minutes from the airport terminal.
There is an airport at Sion with one charter flight a week from the UK, or for private planes.
