After a successful 21 years, Le Renard has become a well established small chalet hotel with its well known restaurant where the staff is dedicated to the highest levels of quality and unobtrusive service. We also have an all year round outdoor Jacuzzi, free wifi in your rooms, a beautiful river side sun terrace, and secure storage for mountain bikes and motorbikes.

For all your needs; we can offer different formulas from half board to B/B and also a self catered apartment which can sleep 8 people easily with 2 bathrooms & 3 balcony`s for the sun lovers.

Rob Brown, patron and chef, and his team, including the new addition “Shadow” - his flat coated retriever - are on hand to help you enjoy the time you spend with them in the beautiful village of Chatel.

Location

We are a small luxury 8 bed roomed Chalet hotel located in the heart of the famous ski area “Les Portes du Soleil”. Nestling in Chatel in the beautiful valley of Abondance, Le Renard is a perfect location for your winter skiing holidays or summer mountain holidays

Le Renard is situated slightly out of the centre of town - so you will not be disturbed by late night revellers - but it is near enough for you to be able to benefit from the other attractions in the village. It is also only 600 meters walk from one of the main ski starting points (Linga), which is linked to the rest of the Portes du Soleil.

Facilities

Le Renard has 8 en-suite rooms all with balconies and stunning views of either the Abondance valley or the nature reserve of the Mont de Grange. The hotel has a comfortable residents’ lounge with TV., surround sound D.V.D., video, IPOD dock and games, an intimate bar area, and a spacious restaurant with a log fire.

As a small hotel we welcome families with children and can cater to all needs for menus and entertainment. There are also Wii and Playstation 2 facilities in the lounge room (for young and old kids too!)

One of the major features that previous clients with children have enjoyed is that the parents can happily leave their children watching television downstairs or asleep in their rooms whilst they relax in the bar or at their table next to the log fire.
