This charming, secluded chalet for 10 just outside the village of Les Allues, in the Meribel valley, boasts wonderful views looking towards Meribel and over to Bozel. Despite its quiet location, there are still bars, restaurants and a small village shop within walking distance.

The chalet has five bedrooms: three double rooms, a twin room with an en suite bathroom, and another room that can be arranged as either a twin or a double room. This room has a wonderful freestanding bath as well as a washbasin. There are also two separate shower rooms and a separate toilet.

In the living area, full-height windows make the most of the light and the stunning views, and open on to a wonderful sunny terrace. Sofas are arranged around the woodburning stove and television. The large dining table has chairs and bench seating, and the well-equipped modern kitchen has two large fridge-freezers, so there will always be a cold drink to hand. The kitchen has doors to a lovely large furnished terrace, partially sheltered by the entrance bridge, where you can eat in the shade.

The chalet also has an infrared sauna, which is quick to set up and easy to use, where guests can relax and soothe any post-ski aches and pains.

The chalet has undercover parking space for three cars, and it's a short drive to the ski lift. There's also a useful ski store with heated boot racks, but if you prefer you can hire ski lockers at Meribel Chaudanne - that way you can head to the slopes and get changed there, and at the end of the day, just store your equipment and head into Meribel where you can enjoy a swim or go ice-skating, before a meal at one of the many restaurants.
