This stylish contemporary chalet in St Martin de Belleville is set on the edge of the village, just a few minutes walk from the drag lift and all the bars, shops and restaurants. Alternatively, you can walk to the edge of the piste and ski down to the drag lift.

With accommodation over three floors, the chalet can sleep eight guests in four en suite bedrooms. Unusually, you enter the chalet on the first floor, where you can leave your skis in the locker and pop your boots on the warmer. The spacious master bedroom is on this floor - it has a super-kingsize bed and an en suite bathroom.

Go down to the ground floor, where double-height windows frame the stunning view over the village and mountains beyond, and flood the open-plan living area with light. Three sumptuous sofas are arranged between the central fireplace and the four sets of double doors that open on to the balcony, where you can take the sun, enjoy the views or indulge in a bit of stargazing.

On the other side of the fireplace there's a large dining table for sociable suppers, and a sleek modern kitchen with everything you need to cook up a feast.

There's a TV room on the lower ground floor with a console, games and films, as well as a utility room and a toilet. There are three more en suite bedrooms down here too, all of which can be arranged either with double or twin beds and open on to the sunny terrace.

With all of the facilities of St Martin de Belleville within easy walking distance, you may choose not to use your car during your holiday, but the chalet has underground parking for two cars.
