This luxurious and homely chalet in Les Gets has a peaceful and prestigious mountainside location – and the sweeping panorama is out of this world, especially while sitting in the hot tub!

The chalet is on the sunny side of the mountain in a rural location, surrounded by countryside. It’s not commercialised here, yet only a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Les Gets, so you have the best of both worlds. In the summer, you can hear the cow bells and sheep in the surrounding fields and you can pay a visit to the nearby goat farm to pick up some fresh goat’s cheese. There are also some stunning circular walks in this area, too.

Maison D’Hiver spans three floors, with five en-suite bedrooms and a bunk den sleeping up to 12 people. The bedrooms are split over the top and bottom floors, with the living area on the middle floor, making it perfect for two families on holiday together who might want the privacy of a floor each.

Maison D’Hiver basks in sun from dawn until dusk, and in the evening the light casts an ambient glow. Settle into the comfy sofas and relax with your group, taking time to appreciate the chalet’s artisan touches and craftsmanship, such as the beautiful old staircase made by hand.

There’s a large open-plan living and dining area with a log burner, plus a kitchen with a breakfast bar. You can step out onto one of the many terraces and soak up the view, making use of the garden and outdoor swing in the summer months. Dining outside in the summer is a real treat, so relax with a glass of wine and enjoy those special far-reaching views. There is a bar area on the terrace and the hot tub is also a highlight year-round.

Chalet entertainment includes a TV room with an Xbox and comfy bean bags and a sofa. In the boot room, you’ll find heated ski and boot lockers and table football, which is perfect for keeping everyone entertained while the last few pull on their ski boots before a day on the slopes. The chalet also has board games, table tennis, plus a supply of sledges and shovels for building snowmen and igloos in the garden.

The chalet is a mile up the first mountain road you reach when you arrive in Les Gets and 5-7 minutes’ drive into the village. The chalet comes with two private car parking spaces in the centre of Les Gets next to the main Chavannes ski station and ice rink, so you’ll only have to do a few steps in your ski boots to the ski lift. If you’d rather not drive, you can add our 24-hour driver service in winter and our professional drivers will be on call to take you around the resorts of Les Gets and Morzine.

On arrival, all beds will be made up with high-quality bedding and fluffy towels. On the ground floor, there are three en-suite bedrooms with views, plus a terrace with a hot tub accessed from two of the bedrooms. The upper floor consists of two en-suite bedrooms, including one large master suite with beautiful views. There’s also a very cosy bunk den that sleeps two people, with a curtain to offer privacy when in use. Two of the en-suite bedrooms can either be made up as two single beds or a king-size bed, offering flexibility for your group.

On a practical note, the kitchen has two dishwashers and two Miele ovens. Off the kitchen is a larder/laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying rack. There are heated cupboards for drying damp clothes and keeping items warm on both the lower ground and ground levels.

Maison D’Hiver is a mile up the first mountain road you reach when you arrive in Les Gets and 5-7 minutes' drive into the village of Les Gets. We recommend you have a car for complete flexibility or add our 24-hour driver service to your holiday during winter. The chalet has three parking spaces on the drive and one parking space in the garage. There are two parking spaces for the chalet in the centre of Les Gets, close to the Chavannes lift.
