La Roche is a modern and tastefully styled 4 bedroom chalet in an ideal location, set centrally in Samoëns Grand Massif. Positioned directly behind the main street, it benefits from village-centre convenience, but also gets to enjoy the great mountain views (especially from the private hot tub!).
La Roche is situated 200m from the free ski bus which runs throughout the day, starting before ‘first lifts’ running right into the evening.
It sleeps 8 people comfortably with 3 of the rooms having the option of a kingsize bed or 2 singles, and the option of using 2 fold out beds to bring the numbers to 10. La Roche lends itself particularly well to sole occupancy bookings - it's the perfect size for a family get together or a group of friends, although with two en suite rooms and 2 with shared bathrooms, it has the flexibility for individual room bookings too.
The chalet has a south-facing wraparound balcony / terrace overlooking Samoëns village - for watching the ski lifts start running in the morning over a cup of coffee, basking in the summer heat, or simply watching the world go by.
It has a snug / salon with a log fire, and UK tv, Nintendo Wii and Netflix, plus a large open plan kitchen / dining room / sitting room with access to the terrace and 1st level balcony.
We have a locked garage with heated boot warmers and plenty of ski storage. This also doubles as secure bike storage for our summer visitors.
WHO WE ARE:
Red Robin Chalets consists of Robin and Aislinn - a husband and wife team who've been living and working in the area for the last 5 years. After gaining plenty of experience in the industry they have now set up 'Red Robin Chalets' together at the beautiful chalet La Roche.
Aislinn is an experienced trained chef with a love of fresh and flavourful foods. She will take care of the food for you, including tailoring the menu for any dietary requirements. Robin is the host-with-the-most, and his cocktails rarely fail to hit the mark! Together they are passionate about making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, as well as having a few laughs on the way!
Samoëns is a pretty French market village, set in the heart of the stunning Giffre Valley. It is a year-round rural hub, which just happens to be situated on the fully linked Grand Massif ski area. Boasting 265km of piste (click here for the piste map), the Grand Massif ski area has plenty for all levels and abilities. Geneva airport is 1 hour away which couldn't be more handy.
The village itself is picture postcard, with quaint shops, boulangeries, and narrow ally-ways - all with the majestic Criou mountain towering above. There are events put on weekly over the winter and summer seasons - from cheese or wine tasting, to concerts in the square, fireworks at Christmas or the American festival in the summer, it is a busy, happening little place!
