Samoens is a traditional, authentic village set in a pretty valley and is part of the Grand Massif ski area.  The Grand Massif ski area is made up of 5 interlinked resorts and has a total of 265km of pistes, the majority of which are north facing which leads to great snow conditions.  There are 3 snow parks in Grand Massif, with one of them being in Samoens itself, with 50% snow making coverage.  Ski access from Samoens is a short bus ride from the centre of the resort and at the end of the day all skiers and snowboarders must take the gondola back down to the resort.

Samoens offers a wide range of activities other than skiing including; speed riding, ice climbing, snowmobiling, paragliding and helicopter flights.  For those looking for a bit of relaxation, there are a whole range of spa treatments and therapies to enjoy from massage to yoga and reflexology.
