La Mongie has something to offer skiers of every different ability. For beginners, there is an excellent range of nursery slopes and wide, gentle blues. But La Mongie deservedly has a reputation as a great place for more experienced skiers interested in leaving the piste behind them, the pinnacle of which is the Pic du Midi, an un-pisted mountain that peaks at 2877m and has played host to world cup free-ride competitions. For those on a snowboard holiday in La Mongie, there is plenty to get stuck into at the large park.

Choose from a great range of catered and self-catered chalets and apartments in La Mongie

As a purpose-built resort, there is plenty of ski-in/ski-out accommodation in La Mongie, adding to the convenience of your stay. Self-catered apartments in La Mognie are common, although there are options for hotels or more luxurious catered chalets in La Mongie if you're on a less stringent budget. Although the appearance of the town lacks the traditional charm of some ski resorts in France, there is plenty to do in the village and there are many restaurant and bar terraces from which to take in the breath-taking scenery. If a traditional mountain village is what you're set on, then why not explore the option of Bareges.
