Les Houches is a charming village located only 6 kilometres from Chamonix. There are lots of modern chalet developments, and prepared ski runs, and the wooded ski runs are very popular in bad weather. Les Houches is perfect if you want a quieter atmosphere, with a lovely selection of bars and restaurants to visit. However, it is easy to get to Chamonix by bus so Les Houches is great for a balanced holiday.
