You'll enjoy wonderful views of the popular La Balme ski area from this fabulous ski lodge for 15, just a few minutes drive from La Clusaz.

Watch the skiers hurtle down the Fernuy piste or in the evenings, you can see the SnowCats preparing the slopes for the next day. In the summer, the snowy slopes are replaced by lush green pastures.

But there are plenty of other reasons to visit Balmaz Lodge - take the indoor swimming pool where you can swim against the current and the sauna, for example. There's also a games room where younger guests can enjoy books, games and the television.

There's underground parking for five cars, and it's just a short drive or bus ride into La Clusaz, where you'll find a great choice of bars, restaurants and shops.

Please note - The family suite consists of 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. A sliding door separates the two bedrooms. Access to the bathroom is via the bunk bedroom. Please refer to the floor plans to ensure the layout suits your group's requirements.

Location

With the La Balme and Fernuy ski lifts less than 400m from Balmaz Lodge, you'd struggle to find better access to this popular ski area. If you're looking to explore other areas the ski bus stops at the lifts, putting the whole of the Aravis ski resorts at your disposal - more than 220km of perfect pistes and 95 lifts in the stations of La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod.

Cross-country skiers, walkers and snowshoe walkers will find great terrain at the Beauregard plateau and nearby Lac des Confins. In fact, the footpath for Confins goes right past your door, and it's a wonderful walk in both summer and winter.

If you're visiting in April, you're well placed to see the unique Défi Foly competition, when daredevil skiers end the season by seeing how far they can ski down the hill and across the rapidly thawing Lac des Confins!

If you fancy a break from the pistes, La Clusaz has an ice rink, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools a spa centre, and a cinema. If you’re looking for a challenge, try sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides, all within a few miles of your holiday home.

There is no shortage of summer fun and adventure within a few minutes of Balmaz Lodge. There are plenty of gentle family walks in the Lac des Confins area, where you will also find a tennis club, golf course, driving range, fishing, a riding centre and several restaurants.

Take the lift up into the mountains for some high-altitude hiking or biking, or try white-water rafting, canyoning, via ferrata and para-gliding in the La Clusaz area.

The crystal-clear waters of Lake Annecy are just 40 minutes drive away, making it a great place for a day out - you can swim and fish in the lake, windsurf or just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.
