Chalet Etoile Polaire is a luxurious Swiss chalet, recently built and furnished, offering exceptionally spacious (193 m2) luxury accommodation for families and groups of friends travelling together.
Centrally located in snow-sure Les Collons (linking to Verbier) at an altitude of 1800 metres, the chalet benefits from a quiet position, yet the shops, bars and restaurants are all on the doorstep and it's just an easy 5 minute walk to the main chairlift and the pistes. Access is never a problem due to the chalet's position, quietly situated just off the village main street which is cleared of snow on a daily basis. In high season when snow cover permits, it is often possible to ski right back to the chalet front door.
The chalet enjoys a sunny aspect which is not overlooked at all and is arranged over 3 floors. There is a lower ground floor with 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room. The open-plan living area on the ground floor incorporates a very well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and stools, dining area with table and seating for up to 12 and a sitting room with comfy leather sofas, covered log fire and a lofty, vaulted ceiling. In addition there is another bathroom, shower, bath and sauna and a separate ski boot/storage room. A wide wrap-round terrace takes full advantage of the sunshine and enjoys glorious, uninterrupted views across the Herens Valley to the mighty Matterhorn.
The first floor has a master bedroom with queen size double bed with private balcony off, 2 further twin bedrooms, one with full-size bunk beds plus a bathroom. There is parking for 2 cars in a garage at the back of the chalet. A short flight of steps leads down to the sun terrace and front door and the surrounding garden is laid out on a slope with wild flowers and natural vegetation.
IK & DK December 2019 - "Wow just wow! this is such a lovely chalet - the photos just do not do it justice. We stayed over Christmas and had such a lovely time in this chalet. It had everything we could possibly need. There were 6 of us and there was an enormous amount of space and comfort with such incredible views. the kitchen was well stocked with lots of work-space. The enormous table in the dining area was terrific for family meals. The seating area was very comfortable and there must be over 100 DVD's. The log fire was lovely....the bedrooms were so comfortable with some incredible views and the bathrooms were very good. The sauna was a bonus and how lovely to soak aching limbs in a wooden bath.....Finally a big thank you to Tina who provided excellent communication all the way to the holiday. Tina really went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay. Thank you Tina for allowing us to stay in your beautiful chalet we had such an incredibly memorable and lovely holiday. We hope to return Happy New Year".

FC & CL Feb '17 - "The fact that this was our third visit to Etoile Polaire speaks for itself. This spacious, well appointed chalet in the middle of Thyon Les Collons is perfect for a large group. The bedrooms are of a good size with plenty of storage and the beds comfortable. The plumbing is plentiful - 4 shower rooms and a sauna to take away the pain of a hard day on the slopes. The kitchen has plenty of appliances and is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils for making meals for a large group. Not only is it clean and functional for up to 12 people, the chalet also breathes an ambiance of well being inside and to the outside".
RW Jan '17 - "We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Chalet Etoile Polaire. The photos don't do the chalet justice. It has a warm, cosy feel but is spacious all at the same time! We were four couples with two children and the chalet was easily large enough for us all. The chalet was spotless and very well maintained and in an ideal position in Les Collons with easy access to all the facilities available. The skiing was excellent and the scenery absolutely stunning, the views from the chalet balcony were amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend this chalet as it was truly perfect!"
NB Mar '15 - "Amazing - from initial inquiry to post holiday contact, Tina was brilliant! She was able to answer my numerous questions and proved extremely amenable when we changed our booking. The chalet was clean, well equipped and in a great position for the Trabanta chairlift. The skiing was perfect for everyone. Some of the youngsters and the not so young enjoyed the black runs, whilst the rest of us loved the wide blue and red runs which were well-groomed and quiet! We never had to queue for a chairlift, gondola or drag lift! I would 100% recommend this chalet, the ski area and the service we got".
