Centrally situated in the village of Les Collons at a snow-sure altitude of 1800 metres, Chalet Etoile Polaire is a luxurious recently builT chalet offering extremely spacious accommodation for families and groups of friends travelling together.

The chalet enjoys a great location, quietly set back from the main street of the village and only 100 metres from the main chairlift. All the amenities including shops, bars, restaurants and ski equipment/mountain bike hire are right on the doorstep. Guests will love the chalet’s sunny position and the uninterrupted panoramic views from its balcony along a spectacular mountain range to the Dent Blanche and the mighty Matterhorn.

Access is never a problem due to the chalet's position, quietly situated just off the village main street which is cleared of snow on a daily basis. In high season when snow cover permits, it is often possible to ski right back to the chalet front door.

Ground Floor

On the ground floor you will find two double bedrooms, a bathroom, shower, bath and sauna, laundry room and separate ski boot/storage space. The open-plan living area is also on the ground floor and comes complete with a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and stools, dining area with table and seating for up to 12 and a sitting room with comfy leather sofas, covered log fire and a lofty, vaulted ceiling. A wide wrap-round terrace takes full advantage of the sunshine and enjoys glorious, uninterrupted views across the Herens Valley to the mighty Matterhorn.

First Floor

The first floor has a master bedroom with queen size double bed with private balcony, two twin bedrooms, one with full-size bunk beds plus a bathroom. There is parking for 2 cars in a garage behind the chalet. A short flight of steps leads down to the sun terrace and front door and the surrounding garden is laid out on a slope with wildflowers and natural vegetation.

SSG New Year 2022/23 - "We stayed in l'Etoile Polaire for a skiing holiday at a time when many skiing resorts were closed due to warm weather. Due to the high location, skiing was fortunately still possible. We loved the chalet as it's spacious and well equipped for its number of guests. Two outstanding factors were 1) the fantastic 180 degree view of the mountain range including Matterhorn and Weisshorn and the valley and 2) the quiet location while still being very close to the shops and ~ 10minute walk on foot to the ski lift. We would definitely go again!

The chalet is marvellously located, lovingly furnished and ideal as a starting point and home base for tours and undertakings for active people and sports enthusiasts. We went skiing, snow shoeing, were relaxing in the sauna as well as played and laughed in front of the fireplace in the evenings. We were sad leaving the place after a week but take good memories with us".

Chalet Etoile Polaire is the ideal base for your holiday in the Alps whatever the season. Les Collons is part of the fabulous Swiss 4 Valleys including Verbier and the region’s reputation as one of the leading high-level winter ski areas of Europe is well deserved. There are over 400 kilometres of pistes with 99 lifts up to an altitude of 3300 metres offering a superb mix of skiing for all abilities. In summer it’s a unique mountain environment benefitting from a wonderfully, sunny microclimate (around 300 days sunshine a year) which presents a host of outdoor activities ranging from walking, hiking and mountain biking to first class golf, thermal hot springs, wine tours and plenty more besides.
