The Alpine chalet is a traditional Haute Savoyard chalet that dates back to the 18th century and has been renovated in the Alpine style.The chalet is situated above La Chapelle d'Abondance in France up near the Swiss border. The chalet is cuckoo clock like with magnificent views over the village and the ski slopes opposite.
The chalet has a cosy rustic feel, with a large comfortable living room that has a log fire burner and a mezzanine that surrounds the room.
The quaint kitchen dining room has Alpine wooden beams in wood clad which is well equipped with a cooking range. The six large bedrooms have views of the valley and 3 ensuite shower rooms, 2 showers next to bed rooms furnished in Alpine decor. The chalet accommodates 12 guests confortably .

The Panthiaz gondola from La Chapelle takes you up into the Portes du Soleil that is the largest International ski area which lies North of Mont Blanc. The ski area covers 7 valleys with 220 lifts and 650km of piste, that is well linked a spread over the French/Swiss Alps, that benifits from heavy snow falls during the winter months.

Location

The chalet is 800m from the village and ski slopes that takes 5 minutes by car. The Panthiaz gondola is reachable by ski for a competent skier.

House Rules

There is a cleaning fee of 120 euros at the end of the stay.
