Located at les Granges, overlooking the Tarentaise Valley, La Grange d’Alice is a fairy tale-like catered chalet with modern amenities.

You can literally ski right up to the door because of its ski-in/out location and put your skis in the adjacent ski room before pulling off your boots and entering the cozy living room.
La Grange d'Alice is a genuine 200 year-old 'chalet d'alpage' that has been carefully restored using old, locally sourced materials, it also boasts new fittings and modern facilities such as solar-powered under-floor heating. The chalet retains a real mountain atmosphere while also being comfortable and spacious.

On the ground floor you’ll find the large open plan kitchen/dining/living area and a twin and double bedroom. Both ensuite.
The dining room leads to a large decked terrace facing south from the chalet and there is an 8 person heated hot tub.
On the first floor a further three twin bedrooms and a family room (sleeps 4) are located. The family room and one twin bedroom have their own ensuite shower rooms. The large bathroom with tub is shared between the other two twin bedrooms.
Next to the bathroom there is a sauna free of use and two toilets.
On this floor there is a kids' space set up with a TV and free Chromecast. Free WiFi throughout the chalet.
Large glazed doors leading from the upstairs lounge area to a long balcony with views towards La Plagne and Valmorel. The feeling is airy and spacious, with old wood from the local forest used throughout, and a few other quirky surprises!

The chalet is within walking distance to the free funicular (150m) which takes you up to Arc1600 in 4 minutes.
In the afternoon you ski right to the back door via a blue or red piste.

Location

Chalet La Grange d'Alice is at the foot of 2 pistes (including an easy blue and a red one both run from Arc1600) and 150m from the funicular and a beginners ski area. It is situated a few minutes by funicular from the centre of Arc 1600, with beautiful views and surrounding scenery. Arc 1600 is a friendly, lively resort with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

House Rules

-Please bring house slippers
-Due to EU safety regulations we cannot allow smoking inside, not even on terraces/balconies. Smoking is permitted at street level, please clean up cigarette butts.
NOTE: no catering will take place on staff's day off (Thursdays). There will be a buffet type breakfast of course. But no dinner is served that night.
