1850 Short Break/Chalet - Self Catered
Valid from 14/02/2024 to 18/02/2024
When imagining the ideal stay in the Alps it is fair to say that most of us would start with a spacious chalet, quality facilities and views of mountains and forests. Le Vionnet ticks all of those boxes and more, and when you add in our concierge service and flexible range of catering upgrades it is a real winner. From a pure self-catered stay to bakery deliveries, magic meals to your door or a chef at home service, we can make it happen. Your chalet, your way! We are open in between winters for self-catered stays too, and this tranquil and spacious chalet has plenty of outdoor space to take advantage of those long sunny days.
Outside the school holidays this chalet is now available for flexible stays with no fixed changeover day!
Once inside the chalet you will be pleasantly surprised at the top-quality renovation of what is a traditional building, and the open plan nature of the communal areas only adds to the sense of relaxation and conviviality. This chalet is great for people with their own transport, with plenty of private parking available and the biggest supermarket in the area just a couple of minutes drive away. A new shuttle bus does however stop nearby.
The chalet is in a traditional and quiet area of the village of Montriond, 4km from the bright lights of Morzine and in its own spacious grounds. It is perfect for guests of all ages and the centre of Montriond does benefit from a couple of nice eateries as well as a lively bar with regular live music. For people with their own transport the biggest supermarket in the area is just a couple of minutes drive down the valley. Access to the full Portes du Soleil ski circuit is easy via the cable car at Ardent.
For the winter season a new ski bus route has been introduced, with the nearest stop just a short 2 / 3 minute walk from the chalet and taking around 15 minutes to Ardent. From Ardent you can avoid the queues of Avoriaz and access its impressive high-altitude slopes via the back door, or bypass Avoriaz all together on your way to Chatel or the often deserted Swiss sector. The same bus route can be caught in the opposite direction towards Morzine and with a change of bus it is possible to access the Super Morzine gondola, the swimming pool or the town centre.
The first floor of the chalet is a fantastic sociable space with a sleek and well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge area with log burning stove and satellite TV, and a good-sized dining table around which you can enjoy a hearty dinner and swap stories from the ski day. A door on this same level leads out to a nice balcony and terrace as well as the 6 man hot tub in which you can enjoy stunning views in total privacy. For summer guests this outdoor space is ideal for barbecues, al fresco dining and to clean off those bikes (hose available).
The ground floor contains a wide hallway in which to abandon outdoor shoes and jackets and a practical ski and boot storage room should you opt to store them at the chalet overnight. There is also a spacious master bedroom with a king size bed, ample storage and an ensuite shower room with WC. A practical laundry room and extra WC make up the remainder of the ground floor. The sociable spaces described above make up most of the first floor but you will also find a gorgeous bunk room with full size single beds. Children will love it but be prepared for a battle for the top bunk! This room will also sleep 2 adults. On the top floor of the chalet there are two further bright and airy bedrooms, both with private balconies and two single beds in each. Finally, there is a spacious bathroom with WC, shower cubicle and a luxurious free-standing bath.
No smoking, no pets, outdoor shoes to be left in boot room on ground floor please!
Check in from 1600 hrs and check out by 1000.
