There's room in the garage to park your car or store bikes, as well as a practical ski locker, so you can keep the apartment clear of outdoor gear. With the ski bus stopping just outside the building, and the resort and liftsof Morzine just 200m away, Appartement Panoramix is the perfect base from which to explore the 12 ski stations of the Portes du Soleil. With 650km of pistes, and almost 200 lifts, you'll never get bored in this winter sports paradise. If you're not a skier, Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which are often host to ice hockey matches as well as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex. If you're feeling adventurous, try snowmobiling or tandem paragliding, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park offers a variety of activities for all ages. Morzine and the neighbouring resort of Avoriaz offer plenty of variety for a holiday, whatever the time of year, but if you venture a little further, there's plenty more to discover. The Portes du Soleil resorts cross the border with Switzerland, giving you two countries and two cultures to experience, and the pretty spa town of Evian-les-Bains, on the banks of lake Geneva, is a great destination for a day out. From there, you can take a boat to other lakeside towns such as Lausanne and Montreux. In Chamonix, just an hour's drive away, you can take a ride on the second-largest cable car in the world, and take in the spectacular views from Mont Blanc. Geneva airport is just an hour away from Appartement Panoramix, making it easily accessible for a short break or a longer stay.
