This stylish apartment is set in a totally renovated chalet, combining the traditional features of the building with modern mountain style. It's a great choice for a couple of families, or for a multi-generational group getting together for a really memorable Alpine holiday.

Two comfortable bedrooms, which can be arranged as kingsize or twin rooms, each have their own bathrooms. There's also a family suite, with a bunk room and another bedroom with a double and a single bed. These rooms share a bathroom, but each have their own toilet. All the beds will be made up with crisp white linen for your arrival, and complimentary toiletries await you in the bathrooms.

The hub of the home is the bright and airy open plan living area, which spans the whole width of the chalet. The traditionally-styled but contemporary kitchen has everything you need to cook for a hungry group, and the central island means there is plenty of room for several chefs to share the work. Step out on to the sunny balcony for an apero before sitting down together at the large dining table to eat. After dinner, you can carry on the conversation on the large sofas and chairs, or perhaps watch a film on the wide-screen television.

The chalet has a useful laundry room and ski store on the ground floor, and there is a private parking space. More parking is available nearby.

Morzine is in the centre of the Portes du Soleil which, with 12 interconnected resorts in France and Switzerland, and 650km of pistes, offers plenty of scope for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities.

If you're not a skier, Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which are often host to ice hockey matches, and the local cinema often shows films in English.

The more adventurous might like to try snowmobiling or ice-climbing on some of the area's frozen waterfalls, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park offers a variety of activities for all ages.

When the snow melts, the lush green slopes around Morzine become a haven for walkers, mountain bikers and thrill-seekers. The lifts will transport you and your bike up the mountains, leaving you to come back down at your leisure. Take a picnic, and make a day of it!

Morzine has earned Famille Plus status for its excellent childcare and entertainment programme, so it's the perfect choice for young families. There are superb water parks in the town and in neighbouring Avoriaz, as well as two summer sledges, while the Indiana adventure park has a range of assault courses to suit all ages.

Golfers will find excellent courses in Les Gets and Avoriaz. Other activities include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, fishing and kayaking. Take advantage of the Portes du Soleil Multi Pass, which offers unrestricted access to the full range of family activities, at an exclusive rate of 2euro per day.
