Lech is a fair sized, prestigious and picturesque Alpine village with a largely intermediate piste network. For experts the off-piste is the main attraction and for beginners there are lots of good, easy slopes to cruise. The lift system in Lech really has improved in the last couple of years, with the old, slow lifts being replaced with lovely heated chairlifts - you are sure not to be left out in the cold in Lech. Linked to St Anton and Zurs it is Austria's answer to glitz and glamour and an excellent choice for families. For a romantic celebration why not enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride down into the Zug valley.

Fux - East meets West: fusion of Asian cuisine with European. Always on the menu: sushi, maki and sashimi, and for those of us who cry for our steakhouse: a steak, of course.
Schlegelkopf - Juicy steaks, North Sea crabs, oysters, matjes, tender sushi as well as other Japanese delicacies - and, of course, hearty delicacies from the Lech region.
Schneggarei - have a relaxing break right next to the slopes at lunchtime, small après-ski refreshment or a cozy supper by the crackling fireplace. Our Chefs prepare crispy pizzas from the original wood stove, Kid’s meals as well as favorite classics from Austrian or international cuisine.
Rud Alpe - Is there anything better than making yourself comfortable with red cheeks and a good appetite at the quaint wooden tables of the Rud-Alpe? For lunch with fresh stir-fries and grilled specialties, at Brettljaus'n or afternoon strudel and in the evening with romantic candlelight.
With just nine bars in Lech and seven in Zurs, the apres-ski opportunities are limited here. However, it gets fairly lively after skiing and until people return to their hotels for dinner. The ice bar outside the Hotel Tanbergerhof is a popular spot, especially later in the season when it is a fun place for people-watching, and the hotel's disco is popular at happy hour as well as late in the evening; s'Pfefferkörndl has a relaxed atmosphere and is popular with locals, but could usefully update its music selection (unless you particularly like random 70s and 80s pop). Après-ski is lively from late afternoon until early in the evening, but by late afternoon as the sun begins to set, most guests have already made their way back to their hotels to be ready for dinner.
Whether you’re flying solo to enjoy the fresh mountain air and a slice or two of strudel, or bringing the whole clan for a week of action and adventure, Lech am Arlberg really does have it all. From hikes and bikes along beautiful mountain paths to delicious picnics with the valley at your feet and lazy afternoons cooling down beside the pool.
