Why Meribel?

Meribel. Wow. If you’ve never been to Meribel you should make sure you add it to your travel destination bucket list. Summer or winter. There is so much to do, the views are incredible, and you are spoilt for choice when it comes to chalets and eateries.

Meribel is central to the Trois Vallees, with Courchevel to the east, Val Thorens to the west. The Trois Vallees is one of the largest linked ski areas on the globe with over 600km of pistes, all connected via the summits, meaning it has something for everyone, from beginners to experts. A snow guarantee of over 85% above 1800m gives confidence when looking to book early too.

It’s not just all about the extensive slopes! The lively apres-ski scene is one of the best in the Alps. Live music, DJs, stand-up comedy; Meribel has it all. La Folie Douce is a must!  There is a complete variety of restaurants to choose from.  Whether you are looking for traditional food or fancy a pizza or burger you can be sure to find something to suit all tastes and budgets. A particular favourite for us, is Tsaretta Spice, opened back in 2016, this alone is worth the trip to Meribel!

Although world famous for alpine skiing and snowboarding, Meribel doesn’t disappoint out of season in the summer months. From fishing, hiking, golf, mountain biking to hot air ballooning.

The Meribel Aero club is the perfect location to take flying lessons or take a tour over the Trois Vallees and Mont Blanc. Families and adventure seekers will relish the outdoor activities and spectacular mountain scenery.
