Top Tips to Make Your New Year Skiing Holiday the Ultimate End to 2020

After the copious amounts of food, drink and festive cheer of Christmas, reality of returning to the everyday rat race is not something any of us look forward to.  Hitting the slopes for new year, can give you access to some of the best parties on the planet for a unique celebration that you will remember forever.

New Year is a great time to ski across Europe with some amazing snow-sure destinations on your doorstep.

Here are our top tips to make your New Year Skiing holiday the ultimate end to 2020!

  • Insurance and Covid Secure

During these uncertain times, it more important than ever to make sure you take out comprehensive insurance at the time of booking.  Many of our Chalets have put in place Covid Policies to help you book with confidence.

Skycop care can offer protection for flights for added protection.

  • Instructor

If you or anyone in your party need an instructor, we recommend booking lessons in advance, rather than waiting until you are in resort. Our Chalet hosts are available to advise on who and how best to book.

  • Lift pass

For a smooth start to your break, we would recommend that you arrange lift passes before you reach the resort. Our Chalet hosts can offer advice and some of our chalets include offers for lift passes – check out our special offers.

  • Pre-book New Year’s eve activities

The Alps are famous for New Year’s parties, with some of the best DJ sets on offer to bring in the New Year! Whether it’s a night of partying, fireworks, family fun or luxury dining, there is something to suit every taste. For dining and parties, we strongly recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment. If you need help in finding the right resort for you, drop us a message.

  • New years day

The fun doesn’t end on New Year’s Eve! New Years Day is usually packed with more fun and activities, many of which are traditions that span generations, from treasure hunts to pig races! And if none of that takes your fancy, we are firm believers that there is no better way to bring in the start of the new year than the crisp mountain air and a long soak in the hot tub.
