St Gervais is a small alpine town and is part of the largest lift-linked ski region in the Mont Blanc area. It is located between the exclusive Megeve resort and the world mountain sports capital, Chamonix.  St Gervais itself has 56 lifts and offers skiers an impressive 950 meters of vertical descent and is best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders, although there is some terrain for experts.

Besides skiing and snowboarding, St Gervais is known for its thermal baths which have a great reputation for the treatment of dermatological conditions.  Other winter activities on offer include, hot air ballooning, paragliding and mountaineering.

St Gervais has a huge choice of on-mountain dining with more than 24 restaurants all spread out.  The majority of these are small to mid-sized locally owned establishments with a higher proportion of table service than you would normally find.  (Advance booking required).  There are also a further 50 plus restaurants in town from small creperies to fine gourmet dining.  Most places offer traditional French cuisine, but thanks to the wide choice available you can choose to have something different if you wish.

St Gervais offers diverse après ski and is quite lively.  It offers up a fantastic selection of cosy bars and nightclubs although if you are looking for a wilder time head to Megeve.  If you are looking to relax after a long day skiing, there is a spa you can visit to unwind or why not go see a film at the cinema.


Summer info

St Gervais is a fantastic place in the summer as well as in the winter and offers a variety of activities to keep everyone happy.  There are a whole host of activities to keep the kids amused from playgrounds to a skate and slide park, and for the adults there is paragliding, hot air ballooning, walking and much much more.
