In Tignes, choosing a ski hotel, or ski chalet in Tignes-le-Lac, means staying in the main hub with easy access to the Motte Glacier. You may however prefer a self-catered chalet in Les Almes, a suburb on the lower slopes, or a catered chalet in the lively Val Claret, the highest village in the resort. If peace is what you're after, go down valley where ski-in, ski-out chalets in Tignes-les-Boisses are quietly set in the trees, or a luxury ski chalet in Tignes-les-Brevieres with a sauna and steam room allows you to relax in a more charming old village setting. There is great ski accommodation in Val d'Isere, the more rustic typically Savoyard resort made up of charming little hamlets. Choose a luxury ski chalets in Val d'Isere 'pedestrian only' centre with a hot tub and steam room, or an authentic wood-and-stone catered ski chalet in Les Crêt, one of oldest areas of the resort. Ski chalets in Les Carats too, the elevated enclave running south from the main village are plentiful, but for convenience, a ski-in, ski-out chalet in Le Châtelard and la Legettaz can't be beaten. For a quieter location, close to the lifts then a self-catered chalet, or ski chalet in Le Daille , Le Fornet, or Le Laisinant would be a good choice. Ultimately, wherever you stay in Espace Killy, it is sure to make a great destination. The main lifts from Tignes to Val d'Isere offer the chance to enjoy the best of both worlds and the freedom to explore this fabulous area known for its extensive and challenging skiing, its friendly atmosphere, fabulous shops and restaurants, but most of all, its fantastic snow that lasts well into the season.
