Looking for a skiing adventure? Norway has it all.
Norway is the ultimate winter wonderland, with some of the most popular resorts to consider being Hemsedal, Lillehammer, Oppdal, Voss and Trysil.
Trysil is the country’s largest and oldest ski resort that offers plenty of history, having held ski races for more than 150 years. The unusually volcano- shaped Trysil Mountain provides 360 degrees of linked slopes. You will also find the best lift systems, the most reliable snow conditions and deep fjords that provide an abundance of varied terrain making it the perfect resort for mixed ability groups. Not only that, but Trysil is one of the first places in Europe to achieve the prestigious certification Sustainable Destination.
Historically, Norway has always been considered to be expensive. However, skiing in Norway is now seen to be fairly affordable, and in some cases cheaper than the alps, including lift passes and eating on the mountain. Also, getting to Norway is usually pretty cheap and there and lots of flights heading across each day from the UK.
