How would you like your own private restaurant and bar during your ski trip? Catered Chalet La Petitta is a chalet suitable for small and big groups, starting from 6 to 24 guests (28 with children) and holds 9 bed- and bathrooms. Your breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner are served in the authentic cave restaurant that is part of the chalet. The cave has a bar with a beer tap that’s available for you to use.

Chalet La Petitta is located in the center of the small town Jouvenceaux (1200 meter altitude) and lies 1500 meters from the lively town of Sauze d’Oulx. There are two bars/restaurants close to the chalet to have a drink after skiing. Sauze d’Oulx is famous for its apres ski, you can take a bus (until 6pm) or taxi to avoid the steep walk up to the town. Jouvenceaux is an authentic town with renovated houses and small streets. In the middle of this all is Chalet La Pettita, located right at a little square with a fountain. The ski lift is only an easy 150 meter walk from the chalet, no waiting in line. The slope that brings you back to Jouvenceaux is maintained with snow machines and should be no problem for intermediate skiers.

Chalet Petitta is unique due to its on-site restaurant/bar (the cave). On one side there is a comfortable lounge, on the other side the dining area. The ambiance is rustic and authentic (13th/14th century). The chalet staff will serve breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner here. The on-site bar (self- service) is open for your use. Music and ipod-docking station are available. Not in the mood to make the walk up to Sauze d’Oulx? No worries, you can have your own apres ski night in the bar!

In total there are 3 floors with 9 bedrooms. Every floor has its own entrance which gives you privacy, the cave (restaurant) makes it a great chalet for groups as well. There are 4 double rooms, 1 triple room, 2 family rooms for 3 or 4 people, 1 family room for 5 and 1 family room for 6 people. All rooms are decorated differently, and all bedrooms are ensuite. The 9th bedroom is next to the kitchen and living room, so can be noisy during certain times of the day. The doubles can also be made into 2 single beds. The entrance to the restaurant is on the outside (6-8 meters).

Shared catered chalet
In high season it is a sole occupancy chalet with a minimum occupancy, this is listed on the price list. We are open to room bookings (shared catered chalet concept) if there’s still availability. Location

Situated at one end of the 400km (250m) lift-linked Via Lattea (Milky Way), Sauze d’Oulx is one of the larger, more popular, resorts of the area. With access to over 400 km of pistes there is excellent skiing available for all abilities. Sauze provides mainly intermediate runs and is a red paradise. For advanced skiers there is an easy connection to Sestriere and the black runs at the top of Mount Motta and Mount Sises, and the Olympic Kandahar Slalom and Kandahar Barchetta runs.

If you like to venture off the beaten track then Sauze offers some great off-piste through the trees. As with most resorts the best off piste is locked away in the minds of locals however there are guides available to help you find the best runs.

Beginners are well catered for too as Sauze d’Oulx has excellent English-speaking ski and snowboard schools that will get you up and skiing or boarding in no time at all.
Sauze d’Oulx has a much better than average sunshine record and much above average skiing. The vast majority of the pistes in Sauze d’Oulx have artificial snow-making facilities which is true throughout the Milky Way. When the day has finished the town offers as much or as little apres as you like. There are plenty of bars to choose from offering you everything from sophisticated cocktails and excellent local wines to pints of Guinness. This being Italy the standard of restaurants is high.
